Six Flags - New Orleans, LA

Like many structures in New Orleans, The Six Flags located just outside of East Orleans was badly damaged during Hurricane Katrina. In September of 2010 I visited what was left of this once flourishing theme park.

Though most of the infrastructure remains the harsh humid weather of southern Louisiana has taken it's on what little remains. The park still brandishes the tall tale signs of the floods. And does not look much different then the day the waters receded. It is rumored to be home to a pack of wild boars. However I never saw any, and the reports are all on internet forums, so take it with a grain of salt.

The city of New Orleans has since reclaimed the property. Many plans have been put on the table to redevelop the park but nothing has moved forward at this time.
